Premier League Predictions For The Weekend
This weekend the focus is back on the Premier League and there are some very tasty games for us to look forward to this weekend.
We’ll dive straight in with the fixture of the weekend Manchester City v Chelsea on Sunday.
Arguable the two best teams in England it looks set to be a close tie. Both teams will be tired after their midweek disappointments in Europe but will be looking to bounce back straight away.
These sort of games between the top teams are rarely open and are chances are few and far between so I’m predicting a draw for this one. I’m going to go for an Aguero and Costa goal with the final score being 1-1.
Arsenal face a tough away game against Aston Villa who are unbeaten this season and will be buoyant after their victory at Anfield.
Arsenal come into this game after a poor performance against Dortmund and will be tired but they will look to get things back on track at Villa Park.
This is a tough one to call but I’m going to have to give the victory to Arsenal. Villa will slip up eventually and I feel Arsenal will look to make up for their midweek result. Expect an onslaught of possession from Arsenal during this game as well. Final score: Aston Villa 0 – 2 Arsenal.
Swansea v Southampton is a fixture that sticks out for me. Both teams in great form this season and both are playing sublime football which is a joy to watch.
A lot of passing and attacking in this game I predict goals so I’m going for a 2-2 draw in this. Expect Pelle to get on the score-sheet.
Another game that will be interesting to see the outcome of is Newcastle v Hull mainly because it seemingly looks like the result of this game will determine whether Alan Pardew is sacked or not.
I think for the Newcastle fans sake they want Hull to win just so they can see Pardew leave! My prediction is 1-1.
A surprise result for the weekend and my tip is for West Ham to beat Liverpool. West Ham are playing some great football this season and Liverpool seem to be struggling without Daniel Sturridge.
Yes Liverpool won during the week but even this was a struggle for them. West Ham will have worked on their defensive problems during the week after some abysmal defending at Hull on Monday night and will look to exploit Liverpool’s tiredness after their midweek game. I’m going for a 2-1 West Ham win.
Here’s the rest of the weekend’s fixtures and how I feel they will end. I will probably be wrong for every single one but hey we’d all be millionaires if we could predict football correctly!
QPR V Stoke – 1-1
Burnley V Sunderland – 1-2
Leicester V Man Utd – 1-3
Tottenham V West Brom – 3-0
Everton V Crystal Palace – 2-0
