Spurs Ease Past Limassol
Tottenham eased past their Europa League opponents Limassol tonight after a 3-0 win on the night (5-1 agg).
Harry Kane opened the scoring (45 mins) after some sloppy defending by the Limassol defence and he slotted home for his second goal of the season in Europe.
Paulinho then capitalised on some more awful defending before making it 2-0 (49 mins) for Tottenham to then receive a penalty in the 65th minute for handball. Andros Townsend celebrated his England call-up by slotting the ball away in the bottom right hand corner.
The result was in no real doubt. Spurs played some beautiful one touch football reminiscent of Southampton under Pochettino.
It was a good chance for players to impress such as new signing Ben Davies who looked very comfortable after his £12 million move from Swansea.
Andros Townsend also put in an excellent performance after he had recently been linked with a move to Southampton.
Expect Tottenham to progress far in this tournament, especially if they face more opposition such as Limassol.
