United In Trouble And Now Van Gaal Doesn’t Rate Shaw

Former Manchester United coach Rene Meulensteen has sensationally claimed that Louis Van Gaal does not rate new signing Luke Shaw. (TalkSport)

This to me sounds rather ludicrous as Van Gaal would have been informed that United were putting in a bid for the player despite not actually being in charge at the time.

In addition to this how can he not rate a player who has shown tons of potential for someone of such a young age?

It would seem really strange that Meulensteen would come out with such a comment for a team he used to work so closely with.

Maybe there is a bit of bitterness in this but I really can’t see Van Gaal thinking this way.

Shaw has yet to feature but this is purely down to injury and a lack of fitness.

Meulensteen claims that Marcos Rojo coming in is also bad news for Shaw but I don’t see how this can be true as Rojo was brought in to play at centre-half and to cover left-back whilst Shaw is injured.

I expect Shaw to come in to the team in the next few games. Mainly because he has regained his fitness after his injury and because United’s defence is seriously lacking numbers after the injury sustained by Phil Jones and the red card Tyler Blackett received at the weekend.

PAY-Luke-Shaw

United need someone of Shaw’s quality to come in to the team for the pure fact they need these kind of players to get them out of the mess they are in.

For a team to throw away a two goal advantage, with the players United have it is just ridiculous.

I partly blame Van Gaal for this. Shocking tactics at the start of the season trying to prove that 3-5-2 was a viable formation when in fact it was one of the worst formations I have ever seen.

On top of this he was playing youngsters out of position in a formation they didn’t understand. Even the worst managers wouldn’t do this.

Against Leicester on Saturday he also decided to replace the two best players on the pitch, Falcao and Di Maria with one very average Adnan Januzaj and a tiny Juan Mata to do what? Defend a two goal advantage? Either Falcao or Di Maria would’ve scored if they’d stayed on.

Moyes isn’t looking like such a bad manager now is he? Imagine if he had the resources Van Gaal has had. I really think he would’ve made United great again.

United really need to buck their ideas together and stop making excuses that they need time. Time is up I’m afraid.
