Hull City’s Future: Calaum Jahraldo-Martin – ” I beat Jake all the time on Fifa ”
Calaum has had an excellent pre-season with Hull City setting up a few goals and scoring what was an absolute wonder goal against Harrogate Town. He even describes it as the “best goal he has ever scored”.
He’s struggled for fitness last season as he had played no games for around four months but he is back and raring to go for the forthcoming season.
It was a big step for Jahraldo-Martin coming from Isthmian League team Dulwich Hamlet but he feels like he a can make a real impact at the KC Stadium.
Hull have plenty of games this season and are involved in several competitions such as the Europa League and Carling Cup. Calaum is looking to play a part in some of these competitions and feels they will need him at some point.
If he can’t get any game time at Hull, Calaum would prefer a loan move away from the KC. This is purely just to gain more experience so he can come back and perform better for Hull. Calaum said “teams who like to play the ball across the ground would be idea”. Jahraldo-Martin stated teams such as Brighton and MK Dons fall into this category.
Steve Bruce and the Hull development team told Calaum that he had a good first season considering the step-up in leagues and that this season they expect him to challenge for a place in the first team.
This view was also supported by his best mate at the club, Jake Livermore, who says he is sure Calaum will break into the first team squad.
